The room was a good size with useful features like USB sockets for charging our mobiles on both sides of the bed. This makes a nice change as you don't always get that. I liked the bar/ restaurant general atmostphere, but I do have a negative about it too which I will put below. We were both glad that we chose to book for dinner later though. The restaurant staff worked really hard, absolutely non-stop, they do you a huge credit. It did feel quite like the quilt wasn't quite big enough at times, maybe because at home we buy a bigger quilt than the size of the bed. Whilst I liked the bar/ restaurant I did not like the fact that young children were running around the bar area completely unaccompanied by anyone. This should concern you too because if something happened to them you can guarantee the parents would blame you. At one point two Dads also placed their children onto the actual bar. Those children could have had goodness knows what on their shoes that is then contaminating the bar area. The bar staff should have asked them to be put back on the floor. Also the bar staff did not wipe that surface down after they left either... not good. We decided to leave the bar and come back when we were due to have dinner and so went to the Co-op to get a couple of bottles of wine and a bag of ice and stay there right up until our booking. I know parents' usual response is 'I bet you don't have kids?', even if I did, I would not allow them to disrespect the place or other customers.

Beautiful surroundings, comfortable bed, friendly staff. I couldn't find porridge in breakfast, but when asked one of the staff members, they made it for me in the kitchen.

Very noisy outside the room during the night, no pancakes in breakfast. It was beautiful weather and it would have been lovely if there were gardens to walk around. Overall quite expensive for 1 night stay...
