This was our second family ( 10 people) stay at the Celtic Royal Hotel. The standard rooms were spacious and clean. The breakfasts (self service buffet ) and dinners were of a good standard. We also made use of the gym and pool which were also of a good standard. On the final evening due to a sudden change in homeward bound travel arrangements we had to request our evening meals to be served earlier than the usual stated times, and the staff in the Copa Bar were extremely accommodating and went over and above to make this happen. The reception staff were also always very helpful.

We visited over the Easter period and so the Hotel was extremely busy, and this did result in the service in the restaurant being slow at times.

This hotel wins hands down because of its location and views. We had a ground floor room with patio doors onto the garden with stunning sea views. The room has been updated and was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The linen and facilities within the room were fairly new and very clean. The room was comfortable, bright and airy. The dining area is modern and again benefits from stunning sea views. The staff who served breakfast were friendly, welcoming and helpful. The breakfast buffet was very good with a selection of hot and cold food. The quality was very high.

If I was to be picky and make some suggestions - A fridge for storing drinks would be welcome. I would say a little more room between the loo and the shower screen would also be welcome. The addition of power points/USB charging points by the bed would be very useful in this age of modern technology! We would like to come back with our dog as we are aware they are allowed in rooms. It's a shame there is not a small area in the bar or restaurant where dogs are allowed.

First all staff from boooking first chat at desk after booking everything was great great food in morning fish in chips in great before in the so pleasent in every in made easy thanks to desk staff who were great at there job in then got room in then got to sleep in then in morning able to have nice we drink to start day and lovely fish in chips ten out of ten x

Excellent location, friendly and professional staff, lovely room and secure bag storage. My daughter was treating me on a trip to London with a show, meal etc and we both thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

The only very minor downside was the handheld shower could do with replacing and the curtains in bedroom wouldn't shut - think previous occupant has maybe tried to force it and has come off track. But this didn't effect the overall experience and we would definitely stay here again.
