The location was ideal , but a big let down on the cleanliness was much below standard and expectations, did not look like the stairwell and corridors had been hoovered for a week or so

The location is beautiful and the common areas like the bar and restaurant were great. Our room was compact but lovely and the staff were all very helpful, especially Isus.

Just a couple of details in the room - it would have been good to be able to open the window more, and adjust the radiator as it did get quite warm. But the staff did come and switch the heating off when we asked.

great location. Lovely comfortable with everythinbg you need. We needed an extra blanket and I texted the owner and ten minutes later they brought the blanket to us.

We complained about the dust and toenail clippings in our room so were moved to another. Second room was dusty too. Furniture and general state of the room was very shabby and found a t-shirt on the chair. Bath was filthy… Breakfast very disappointing. After my stay I emailed the hotel with all the information and lots of photos. I have received a partial refund for my stay but have yet to receive a reply from them. Having now read other reviews on Booking.com it appears that there are 2 wings to the hotel. One seems fine, the other dreadful. There have been many previous complaints about the lack of cleanliness and the overall shabbiness of rooms and in reply the hotel has promised to improve but obviously haven’t.

Although the receptionist couldn’t have been more helpful , the waiting staff were brusque. At breakfast the attitude of the waitress was rude, no good morning or greeting at all, when we asked for butter to go with the toast a half used portion from another table was shoved on the table. When I requested some toast to go with the poached eggs I had ordered she served it with a sarcastic comment. On our second morning we went to the local cafe for breakfast! There were a couple of coach parties there and overall we felt we were in the way.
