The opportunity to stay somewhere that wasnt the cookie cutter budget hotel was grasped, the location suited the journey that I was on, good car parking ( plenty of room) was warmly welcomed, the room was clean & tidy, looked like the bathroom had recently been refurbished, friendly bar staff, good evening meal selection with local produce giving it that extra flavour - lashings of hot water for a shower & well above average breakfast ( especially if you are a meat eater)

The kitchen had everything you could want. Mattress in double room was very comfortable (didn't want to get out of bed in the morning). The location was excellent, close but not too close to attractions. York is the perfect place to go without a car. Apartment only 10 minutes walk from the Railway Station.

Could do with a new settee as it was a bit uncomfortable, and maybe an upgrade to the TV. These minor things would not stop us having a return stay.
