When we arrived the family room that we were given was tired, dated and overlooked a grim car park. Our request for two rooms on the same floor wasn’t catered for. The second room was on a different floor and was really good, updated, wonderful view. We then requested a different room for the family. This was catered for quickly, the staff were amazing and we had a lovely room on the same floor as our family member with another wonderful view.. The entire staff team are amazing and a credit to the hotel. From a very disappointing beginning and needing to move our belongings etc after having unpacked, our stay became excellent.

A really grim first room so needing to request a change of room. The pool surrounding being painted whilst we were there on two consecutive days therefore a strong sell of paint. The pool opened later than advertised.

Lovely, friendly welcome on arrival, we were shown to our rooms and given all useful information such as how to work the shower, exceptionally clean bathroom, lovely clean, comfy beds, little extras such as tea, coffee, wine glasses downstairs that you can take up and enjoy a drink in your room. Delicious breakfast with a great choice. Nothing was too much trouble for the hosts who are lovely, friendly people. You will definitely not be disappointed with your stay here.

Lovely location and a beautiful, enchanting building, both from the outside and inside. Very comfortable room, superbly decorated and spotless. Ditto the bathroom, which had a twin mode/rain shower. Every last detail accounted for, for guests - from the private safe in the room to the complementary slippers ! Fresh coffee and biscuits on arrival from the hostess - a really nice touch. A good breakfast - porridge in particular which was very creamy

Bed was comfortable but was a little warm for my liking, although then again, I do like a really thin duvet. Would have been nice to have had the opportunity to speak to the hostess a little more, about the place in general and the village and its surroundings - she's obviously a busy person though in making sure everything is perfect for everyone's stay !

The staff were really nice, the hotel room was beautiful and stylish yet cozy, they provided extras like toothbrushes and toothpaste which was handy as we'd forgot ours, they even let us borrow a HDMI. excellent and would definitely recommend

Following suggestions we chose to dine in tha adjacent pub 'the fat badger'. We were very disappointed with the menu as we asked for the sea bass... sorry it's off the menu......fish and chips... sorry we've run out of fish......mixed grill then......I was presented with the smallest steak that I have ever been served with a mixed grill and half of it was fat!! I asked for some barbecue sauce, and.....you guessed it.... sorry we've run out !! I did get a reduction on the bill but even so what should have been a nice evening meal turned out to be more like a faulty towers farce. The restaurant management need to pull their socks up to match the class of the hotel/spa etc.

Dirty room cobwebs coming from drawers it was freezing no heating and bed was rock hard not very clean at all.
