Idyllic location well organised plenty of space to relax and do your own thing. Great for children with the activities and the play areas inside and out and the pool is a great size. Really helpful friendly staff From check in to check out everyone made our holiday really special

Only thing was the hotel rooms were really warm and stuffy Air con unit in room not overly effective window open the whole holiday but didn’t really get air flow I wouldn’t like to stay in the room over the hottest summer months

We like everything in Highcliff, the apartment, the facilities, the location and scenery along the promenade. The room seems is newly renovated. Highly recommend.

Nothing, or just to say, would be good to have washing machine inside the room.

Good variety for continental breakfast and staff an absolute bonus. Very happy and kind people. Very close to Paddington tube. Lots of good eateries close by.

Everything in the bathroom worked very well but probably the smallest I’ve ever seen. Hard to get dried and dressed in it.

Staff were very professional, friendly and helpful. Restaurant and bar were very well priced. Bedroom was simple but adequate. Comfortable lounges.

On arrival, I realised the room I had been allocated had no window that would open. I was initially told I could be upgraded to a room with a window that opened for £25 extra/night - for air! To be fair, the manager did agree finally to move me for no extra charge but I had to fight for it! The other point about this hotel - and everyone there was commenting on/laughing about it - is that finding your room is a nightmare! It's an historic building and higgledy-piggledy, which is part of its charm, but the signage leaves much to be desired. I joked as I was leaving that I should really stay a few more days, as I had finally figured out how to get to my room! These points are made in a spirit of goodwill. It's basically a very nice hotel but a few issues to sort, I feel.

I liked the location from where I was coming from and where I was going to the following day.

The room was generally clean except for the dust and cobwebs that had amounted on the top of the walls where the ceilings met. A clump of hair on the inside of the shower curtain but I guess that's missed because it's not something the cleaners would notice. The basin waste was partially blocked too letting the water drain very slowly. Oh and the tv remote control which didn't control all the tv functions had to be reprogrammed as it was a 'one 4 all' universal type but I soon sorted that with being a tech type person. The biggest upset to our stay was the noise from below all the way through the night, from what I could work out it was a sliding wardrobe door of some kind sliding open and shut all night with the noise and vibration when it slammed shut. Not sure if it was another visitor in another room but we are next to the stairwell and directly above the reception so we were only situated next to 1 other room and it didn't appear to be coming from there. I can only guess it was maybe the night porter. Generally or stay want bad at all. The breakfast that was booked the night before was exceptional with really good quality food sourced locally with really high standards. Was really impressed with the selection of breakfast items,, Continental, toast, croissants, cereal etc. Plus the menu items for children and adults was really nice and a decent price. Friendly, polite and courteous staff. Would definitely stay again. Booking was simple as well as arranging to access the place via picking the pass/keycard up from the pub on the premises. Checking in was simplified by the manager as he did things the good old way by asking me my name,, not booking ref no. Check in code, email or other complicated means.

My desert which was supposed to be warm was cold like it had not been defrosted it was taken away but there were no more of the same choice. I was very disappointed after an excellent starter and main course. The young waiter was excellent.

Room didn't have an en-suite bathroom, but the communal bathroom was very large and all features worked well.
