  Samantha was very welcoming even though we arrived late - incredibly friendly staff (and clientele), great beer, breakfast was one of the best we've had for a while. Room was perfect - clean, comfortable, quiet, ground floor so perfect for the dogs, and the room opened out to a great (and closed) garden out back. Samantha also found space for us to work late the following morning, even though we'd checked out. Location is perfect for the village, and really tranquil. And the photos don't do the place justice - it really is very comfortable and full of character. Will be back !

  I was on a LEJOG cycle trip so this was ideal being so close to NCR. also close to town for resturants, bars and cycle shops. Rooms and showers were good and safe storage overnight for bikes. Staff friendly and helpful.

  Not a major issue but although they did have a bike pump, it did not work very well. A proper pump and a bike tool station Im sure would be a great benefit to cyclists like me!

  Location was the best thing about this place. The pub was good but the hostel was not.

  The room was filthy, especially the bathroom. The mattresses were very uncomfortable and one of the beds had it's railings coming off. No curtains or blinds and only a very small window that could open.
