  Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast served quickly. Location is great and parking due booking the Whirlpool room is right in front of the window. Weather was also excellent which made our stay much better. Not the first time and definitely not the last. Worth the money.

  The receptionist on arrival was able to change our allotted room for us as there were stairs up to the bed in our suite and I was recovering from radiotherapy that week and felt I couldn’t manage these in the night to go to the bathroom. So she changed us to another suite.

  It was in need of an overall. Some stain glass on the stair way needs repair and the bathroom was in need of a deep clean around the shower area was mouldy. The carpet in our room was filthy in need of a deep clean.

  The location was okay, the cookies in the room were good.

  Thick layer of dust under bedside table, on top of wardrobe. Black mould around window sills, limescale build up around taps, hairs left in bathroom, ants in bathroom. Room extremely basic, mattress springy. Could do with a complete revamp! Glad we stayed as it means we can rule out recommending to guests at our wedding in a year’s time!

  No locks on the bedroom doors including bathroom door ,had to stand outside the bathroom while my wife took a bath to make sure no one walked in on her,no WiFi no tv no facilities whst so ever..the lady who owned the place seemed pleasant enough but was a bit disappointed tbh,my wife wanted to come home the first night but I managed to talk her round ti staying & we just stayed out all day & night & just went bak there to sleep basically & came home a day early,no fresh towels like it was stated so we asked for a towel & got one towel for the full 5 night stay 😌 bit disappointed tbh
