Our third stay at the Priory, this time in one of the cottage rooms. How wonderful to have your own little semiprivate garden! As always, the decor was beautiful and tasteful. Lovely to have a robe to relax in, and the roll top bath is always my favourite treat of the stay. Staff were as ever, so friendly and helpful. Evening meal was simply stunning, worthy of a Michelin star or two! If you stay here, you really must dine here also. All of my requests were met and we even sat outside until sunset with a few cocktails. Had a lazy late check out at 1pm for a bargain £20. Couldn’t fault a thing.

What’s not to like? Other than I can’t afford to live there permanently!

Set back from a quiet country B road on the edge of a small village with off-road parking in front. Four steps up to the front door and a wide staircase to the first floor bedrooms and generous sized bathroom. The friends staying with us had age related reduced mobility so found that manageable with difficulty. Living room comfortable, kitchen/diner very well appointed and spacious. Nice and warm in the evenings. Wall mounted large screen TV very good. We enjoyed our stay very much. Its a good launching point for spectacular hills and villages.

Hosts asked for comments about what might be improved. There was nothing significant that would warrant a mention here.
