Excellent caring staff, and a lovely room with it's own walled garden (maybe slightly careworn) Beer was excellent, and reasonable price by modern standards. The location can be a little challenging to reach with my sat nav taking me through roads more akin to country paths on the way in and out. The pub itself is in a nice village.

Booking.com deciding I'm from Georgia? Definitely not the New Inns fault....

What an an amazing find! Thank you, Clare, for the exceptional hospitality and your great sense of humour. We really enjoyed the comfortable room and lovely breakfasts. Abbotsbury is a truly unique and beautiful place.

Cannot fault our stay.

The house was close to the centre but in a quiet location. The outside space was small but good to have. It was a reasonable price but could be a fabulous property if updated.

The stairs are really steep and would be a challenge for elderly or infirm guests. It lacked the basics like glassware it only had wine glasses or one small tumbler and needed some tall glasses as a basic provision. It also needed a decent sharp knive. Several previous guests also commented on the need for a small table and chairs and this is really required. The whole house needs a freshen up.

The room was very close to the centre which made going to Union Square/Union Street close by. Staff were kind and friendly Cheap hotel for being in the city centre

It's clear that a lot of the hotel needs refurbished. I stayed on the first floor, which I appeared to be dark and lack of signage. I lost my way quite a few times. The floors were creaky especially in the room I was staying in. A lot of the grout in the bathroom was dark brown/black. The door frame in the bathroom had a massive hole in it, with exposed wiring inside it down at the floor. It's impossible to miss. I went down to reception for someone to look at it. The manager came up, took some photos and said that it shouldn't be like that but will be ok to have a shower. I just had to cover it with a towel to make sure it was OK. The room was extremely hot at night. I had the window open and I was still very hot, and I'm a person that likes to be cosy at night. I would have appreciated some extra security at night. There was some sort of security lock on the room in the room but it doesn't work. No peephole either. Although the floors were that creaky that you could hear people walking by so not much of an issue.
