Nice clean quiet room, good drinks in the sports bar, perfectly cooked breakfast, nice view over the football pitch to the hills from my room.

I didn't fancy anything on the evening menu so I ate out. Got a little concerned about the drainage in the shower so I ended up being water efficient.

We booked in January for a stay in early April & specifically requested an extra bed for our daughter (confirmed shortly after booking). On arrival at 10.10pm told there was no bed and our 17 year old was expected to stay in a bedroom on her own, several rooms away. Appalling - they even lied saying they tried to calm us that day (no missed calls on either phone). Attitude was not apologetic enough & finally ascertained (because we asked) that there was a spare mattress she could sleep on. Given 3 x breakfasts to compensate for the half of an an hour of complete & unnecessary hassle (after an 11 hour flight from South Africa plus train from Heathrow. The hotel is completely tired and unloved. Chunks out of the wall in the breakfast room. Chipped sink in our bathroom, white paint on wooden furniture. Not well maintained at all. All of this was reported back to reception at the time of our stay.

The double and single bed were comfy and very handy parking.

The sofa bed was broken and the only duvet for it was kept on the floor under the sofa with no linen so was dirty. Also the shower broke while we were there and would not heat up.

The bath tub needs a shower rail at least. Of course the position means you can not stand in it as an adult.

Dishwasher too small for a group of 6 Wine glasses all different not even a set Pillows old and lumpy Quilts lumpy Single beds quite small Bedding in one bedroom still damp and smelt fusty Radiator cover broke and stuck down with tape which kept coming off Shower seals and rubbers could do with replacing Towels not fluffy. Seemed worn
