This is a very well maintained property near the airport and in a very good neighbourhood. This is its advantages, and it expressed itself in the price, though it is reasonable. I appreciated that the hotel answered immediately after the booking, gave much advice, and informed me about additional services. No matter whether you arrive at the northern or southern terminal in Gatwick, there is a freephone, shared by B&Bs in Horley, and within 15 minutes you are picked up by shuttle. This is not, as I assumed, also shared, but the Corner House's own. It leaves the hotel punctually every half hour. Great service, though now you pay £12 per ride. My room was at the end of the corridor, and I only needed a small one. It was perfectly fine for this one night, and everything is super-clean. I did not use the restaurant or bar, which seemed to be attractive, but pricey.

This is a Victorian property, and rooms are not sound-proof. My neighbour slammed the heavy doors, and I could hear them plugging in some electric tool. However, most guests have to get up early, so noise stopped some time after 9:30pm, when the restaurant also closes. What the room lacked, and this is a problem in many hotels, is a suitcase bench (it could be foldable, though this can be a health hazard for elderly guests). Most guests in such an airport hotel will live out of their suitcase during the one night before or after a flight and not use the very small cupboard with one high shelf. Currently, they have to leave the suitcase on the floor. There is actually enough space between the bed and cupboard, and it should not costs too much to provide this facility. Also, a desk chair, rather than a small stool, would be good. All these are minor issues and just a recommendation. I would be very happy to book Corner House again.

Absolutely perfect place to stay! Rooms are clean, beds are super confi, perfect location to have an amazing city break. Car park is secured and good price also. In general, we was max happy with this place and definetely highly recommend to all!

Great location for Manchester Airport and Ben provided transport to and from the airport which made our holiday stress free. Spacious for the 5 of us. Ben was really helpful and happy to answer my many questions before our stay.

The lack of choice for food at the restaurant but the main issue for me was being woken up at 3am with knocks at our penthouse suite being accused of smoking due to smoke alarms going off! After that I couldn’t go back to sleep as I was on edge and already was made to feel very uncomfortable!

The reception staff was miserable. When you walked past from coming in or out of the building they don’t speak or even was to acknowledge you. Then the bar area was very small. We went to go for a drink and there was no chairs to sit so we asked if we could go through and sit on the restaurant as it was empty they said we didn’t have a booking we said no so then couldn’t sit there. After saying where could we sit then we said we could sit there for 45 mins maximum. But after being watched when seats became available we moved. Some staff were pleasant but a lot wasn’t.

When I booked I asked for a room with not to many stairs to climb they accepted my request, but when we arrived they put us in the very top floor with 4 lots of stairs to climb I was not at all happy but I told the girl and she said we are fully booked and could not do nothing about it, it was a really nice room but the stairs were to much, we booked early enough thought they would have saved a room for us, Would stay again but not in room 7
