Nice clean room, friendly welcome and in a great location just 10 minute walk from the town. Only drawback was having the door knocked by the cleaning staff at 10.20 wanting to clean the room just as we were packing to leave. Apart from that we enjoyed the stay and would highly recommend it

Breakfast good. Location good for onward travel. Plenty of parking. Stylish rooms. Larger than average single beds.

Joining door to bedroom needs soundproofing. Guests in next room easily heard (and things not wanted to hear). Noisy air con/bathroom fans. Seemed to be a constant background noise all through the night. Noise from main roads also easily heard. All in all a distrustful night sleep.

Back bedroom bedding needs renewing. Its very clean but gives you a horrible feeling as bobbly and badly creased. Just my opinion. Bed is very comfortable. Appliances need emptying. Would have hoovered but hoover was full. I emptied filter on tumble dryer, which was overflowing with fluff. Small stuff really

Firstly I was shocked to have to pay my full bill as I arrived. This is not the normal when I have stayed at hotels in the last few months in London, Devon and Dorest. Breakfast. I had paid up front for breakfast to be included. This was a big let down. No cold buffet so no cereal or other items to start with. We were asked for our tea/ coffee order and juice order. Coffee order was very odd. I was brought a cup of coffee and had to keep asking for refills as no cafetiere put on the table. The staff were very pleasant but obviously stressed as had to keep coming back to us and other guests to do this. First breakfast I had I was Full English breakfast but only wanted egg, bacon, tomato and mushrooms. ..not the sausage,baked beans, black pudding etc. I was given one small slice of bacon, a small amount of scrambled egg and half a tomato...cooked and presented well but had expected more generous portion. One tiny bowl of fresh fruit with it...6 grapes, 2 tiny slithers of melon and 2 slithers of grapefruit. Second time I went for porridge and pancakes but I was told I WASN'T ALLOWED 2 hot items. No cereal on offer so I was surprised and shocked that this wasn't possible. I had a tiny bowl of fresh fruit instead of the porridge. We asked for a toast and croissant basket between 5. Only 3 croissants appeared and two slices of toast.. so we had to ask for more which we consumed with gusto. Very disappointing and felt like the hotel were trying to cut costs. Cost cutting evident in the lack of biscuits in hotel room. Also my room was not cleaned until about 4.30pm so presumably shortage of staff?
