Beautifully decorated room. We had a family room for extra space. The rooms allow dogs and I was a bit apprehensive it’d smell “doggy” but it didn’t at all and was spotlessly clean. Lovely touches in the room, chocolates, fresh milk in the fridge, coffee machine. Lovely toiletries in the bathroom. They offered 2 free G&T’s too if we’d like them! The breakfast menu was extensive and was delicious. The outside seating area was very extensive with “under cover” options if it rained! Plenty of parking. Staff were very helpful and friendly!

One of the staff members, I did not get her name was lovely and did her best to be helpful. The young man who eventually assisted with my bags was also very nice. The location was great and very walkable.

There was an issue with my bags from the very beginning. I had 2 large suitcases, 1 small suitcases and a carry-on. when I arrived the first gentleman barely assisted me with my bags. The gentleman who checked me in told me the room was not large enough to accommodate my bags and (strongly) suggested I store them after opening them in the public area to retrieve what I need from them. Originally I was booked to the top floor, he changed my room to a lower floor and let me know he was waving the 'early check-in' fee (I arrived at 1pm) as a favour. I have NEVER stayed at a hotel that didn't allow me to have my bags upstairs, nor have a ever been charged an early check-in fee; I had not idea there was such a thing. I am a digital nomad and travel a lot. In the past 4 months I have stayed in 8 hotels in 4 countries. The next day I spoke to a very nice woman who let me know there was not adequate space to lock my bags away, my bags were left in the lobby area. Yes the entrance to the hotel was locked, BUT that did not guarantee the safety of my belongings. After some discussion I was able to have my bags brought up that evening. Additionally the window in my room had a broken latch and would not open, it was quite hot and stuffy.

Location and size of hotel. Shower and bath facilities. Staff whilst most were young they were all very enthusiastic and very helpful.

We could not open the window at night due to the noise from customers sitting outside in the courtyard area. No Air con other than portable unit. No toilet brush?

The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was spacious. Good location for shopping with plenty of eateries nearby.

The pub behind us was open until 12am playing very loud music. The main entrance didn't feel secure. The main part of the door was made of plastic and a couple of times, people walked passed hitting it hard, asking to gain entry.

No hot water!! I will never give a hotel a poor review, providing it has the basics right; clean linen and towels, a decent shower and hot water. Our room was clean, had decent towels but cold water! Not good. The room we were in was tired and just needs a good makeover. It was clean enough but tired. There were stains on the carpet, and the taps need new washers- drip, drip, drip!

We chose it to charge our electric vehicle overnight and we couldn’t make the charger work. When I asked a reception how to do it the answer was ‘I haven’t a clue!
