We had a lovely studio room (the Doghouse) which was large and very well equipped. There was a generous supply of tea, coffee and biscuits and even a welcoming small bottle of single malt whisky! The hosts were very hospitable and the breakfasts the best we've had with beautiful views from the dining room.

Room was clean and tidy, bed soft and comfortable. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Lobby was pleasant and cozy. Felt very calm while at the hotel and happy.

Room was directly across from an office block that could see directly into the room so I had to choose between either potentially accidentally exposing myself with the curtains open or just blackout curtains closed.

The lakeside views, easy access to motorway, the spa, the walks and biking trails.

Room was unbearably hot, looking at other reviews I see this is a common problem. 2 fans in the room but they were too loud to have on while sleeping so they weren't much use. Room was far to expensive for what was offered. Barely anything in the room. No tissues, toothpaste, a single unlabelled bottle at the bottom of the shower which I guess was some sort of shampoo/body wash combo but I wasn't about to pour a random liquid on my body. Despite paying 150 per night breakfast wasn't included and laughed when I saw I would have to pay 1.95 for a bowl of cornflakes

The hotel was lovely and the location was beautiful

There was no dressing table in the room so unable to blow dry hair. This had to be done in the bathroom so it was a good job I brought my hairdryer as the lead was long and I could plug it in the living room area. There was one staff member at breakfast that took a joke way too far and ruined breakfast for us

The ambience and its proximity to my meeting

The room location I requested help with my mobility, yet had to walk to Mars to get to the room from the lift. What was disappointing was that there was a lift right outside the room, but I had to find that myself.

Location was perfect for a stop over

Restaurant closed at 7:30 so when we checked in at 7:35 was told that we wouldn’t be able to eat there, so after a long drive had to find somewhere else to eat. The poor gentleman doing breakfast was overloaded with everyone eating at similar times, reminded me of Fawlty Towers.

Evening meal was disappointing, average quality roast beef dinner.
