We liked that we were upgraded on our first visit (know that may never happen again, but you know!) The staff were exceptional, the room was amazing and we regret that if we had known how nice it was, we would have stayed longer! The breakfast was more than sufficient.

Cold water tap on the bath was jammed closed, but we used the hand shower for cold water.

Neil was very nice and his restaurant and gin business seemed very interesting, just out of our price bracket. The location was really great. Right in the centre of town and had a great view over the cathedral. There were lots of shops, pubs and restaurants nearby.

We were put in the superior suite rather than the deluxe, which we had booked. Whilst there was no difference in the cost, the aesthetics were quite different - it could really do with a refurb. Scuffs and scratches everywhere, furniture/artwork that doesn't go together, noisy floors and (necessary) fire doors ruin the flow of the whole place. The blinds in the bathroom are broken and there aren't any in the living room. Definitely needs some TLC.

A charming, old-fashioned seaside hotel. It was immaculately clean and the ceiling-to-floor windows gave it an airy feel. The staff was lovely. And best of all, it was right around the corner from the beach.

I had never been in bank bed. What a surprise at the set up. Very innovative and safe and comfortable to use. Emergency sleep worked for me as I had missed my train to Rugby.

Bar food for lunch and evening meals - the quantity and price was very acceptable. The service was friendly and prompt. The bedroom was spacious with plenty of cupboards.

The restaurant had dim lighting and hard uncomfortable chairs. Food portions served were far too much. There were no comfortable chairs in the bedroom and most of the comfortable bar/lounge chairs were in a dimly lit area.
