The situation was super – quiet and rural with a lovely little garden at the back. The proprietors and family were very pleasant and helpful. If you pointed out something wrong, they seemed willing to do something about it. When I found the bed so hard I had very little sleep, they provided a duvet for me to put under the bottom sheet. The breakfast was excellent, with every possible taste catered for. My impression was that the proprietors were fairly new to the game and I really wish them well, but there were a lot of things amiss. On the plus side, it was very cheap and the website did say they didn't serve any meals except breakfast, which we were ok with. 'Hotel'? It was really more a guest house with a licence.

The rooms were very cold at first – though we did arrive early afternoon – and the heating went off during the day and during the night. My 'small single' room had an integral bathroom i.e. the shower was in the room and the loo/basin in an alcove. (There was a sort of blind you could pull down, but then you could not have used the basin except from the side.) There was no ventilation at all – not even a grille over the door – that I could find, so I had to stand on the bed to open a little window when condensation was streaming down the window in the morning. I thought this might be illegal. We were charged £24 for two miniature bottles of wine and one can of fruit juice which we had to serve ourselves with as the owners had gone out for the evening. We do think we left two things behind – a phone charging lead and a pair of socks – but they didn't seem to be able to find them.

Lovely restaurant, breakfast was great. The staff were outstanding- as a solo diner you can feel a little out of place but they made such an effort to make me feel comfortable & welcome

Nice apartment, clean sheets, got a kettle and coffee (milk and sugar too!). Beds were nice and clean.

There was pasta in the sink and the handle of the bathroom had the steel cap falling off. Water pressure could be better.
