Room 2 Extremely creeky bed which did disturb my sleep every time I moved Poor lighting in the bedroom compared with the bathroom which made working on laptop difficult. WiFi was hit and miss and often was unavailable. Very high noise levels from traffic outside as the room is at the front with single glazed bay windows (due to age of building ) but some secondary glazing would help. Very noisy when the room next door (in next part of building) used their shower Very narrow steep stairs difficult to carry cases (no lift) which I found difficult to manoeuvre with a gammy knee.

The walk-in shower as requested. The friendly, helpful staff. The wonderfully peaceful bedroom location (inland view) at the rear of the hotel. Great food, great table service, good range of drinks.

The only thing that I didn't like was the low-flow shower - a power shower it was not!

I am a tour operator and always stay at Kingsmills when overnighting in Inverness. We all loved the garden rooms and the breakfasts. I’ll be back with others.

We travelled to Manchester as a group of three young women, after checking in and being seen entering our room by a group of young men staying on our floor they proceeded to not only knock on our door but try the handle repeatedly over the next couple of hours. There was a QR code on the wall which we scanned to message reception to report this behaviour to which we got no response. We had an event to attend and the knocking etc had stopped so we left for the evening. We were later woken at 2am by the same men knocking loudly, trying to enter our room, asking us to open the door, etc. We immediately called reception asking them to intervene but never really got told if they were going to do anything or not, not particularly reassuring. I’ve stayed here multiple times before and it’s always gone smoothly but this event was quite upsetting and has made me rethink returning.
