  The location was very good - and easy walk into the centre of the town. Breakfast was a 'continental' self-service buffet with a great choice of items. The property is charmingly quirky but very comfortable. The host was very welcoming.

  Lovely room very comfortable and modern which I loved! Also nice quiet area which was a plus, tv came with Netflix and YouTube which was great. Definitely will be back again this year!

  Only negative was the cleaning staff.. they tried to come into our room before 11am (our check out time) so I told them we wouldn’t be too long and then not long after they started knocking on the door so I opened the door whilst we were putting our shoes on and they came into the room whilst we were still in the room gathering our bags. We just felt very rushed and our privacy intruded.

  There was no personality, no one at reception to greet you. When you arrived, you had to call them on their phone. The proprietor wasn't even in the building. When we got in our room & looked around, my partner almost had the en suite door off its rails when trying to open it. That's if you could call it an en suite, you couldn't even sit on the toilet without putting your feet in the shower. You had to sit sideways on. I then went down to get our belongings & couldn't get back in the room as the key fob which they gave us wasn't working properly. After calling the proprietor 3 times, he sent someone to look at it & they couldn't speak English or understand what we were saying to them. Tea, coffee & sugar were provided, but no milk was supplied & when asking the sent person why she didn't understand what we were asking for. The bed wasn't even a proper bed & and was very uncomfortable. It was made from conti board & a chipboard bottom with a very thin mattress placed on top. The carpet tiles on the floor weren't fitted properly & the wardrobe was falling apart & no hangers in it to hang any of your clothes. Only one towel supplied for 2 people, which was a bath towel with no hand towel. In the morning, you had to lean over the toilet to get a wash or brush your teeth in the sink. I would definitely not recommend this property unless you like a torture chamber, I wouldn't even allow my dog to stay in a room like this. I know it was supposed to be a budget/ basic room, but even so, it should be inhabitable. Never my partner, who has stage 3 bowel cancer or myself, had a very comfortable night. If someone from booking.com is reading this, we would appreciate a full refund, and I recommend you check these properties before allowing them on your site
