Staff was overall friendly and helpful. Our room was great, modern, beautiful and very comfortable. Everything was tidy, clean and in perfect condition which we rarely experience in hotels these days. We had enough parking space and it was easy to find the place. The breakfast was based on self-service and buffet and it worked very well, it was also lovely.

We booked a dinner table but still waited over 45 mins to get the table. We had to wait in the bar area unnecessarily, very clearly there were enough tables for new guests, but for some reason, we were still forced to wait that long. We were so hungry, it was a late booking and didn't make any sense. The food/drink was overpriced, although, great and tasty what we finally ordered, but the portion wasn't enough for an adult man (or even for my partner) and for the money we paid, I could have received a lot more elsewhere

The room was directly over the pub and it was very noisy until 11.30pm. One member of bar staff was very dismissive of our complaint saying it was a pub, rather than acknowledging that it was also somewhere to sleep. It’s true that we knew it was also a pub but we imagined that the rooms would be at the back or better sound proofed. Don’t stay here if you want to sleep before midnight.

Room overlooked the Beer Garden , noisy . Very uncomfortable bed. Window couldn’t stay open so very hot. Shower had mould . Terrible pillows. Food excellent and huge helping and fair price. Sweet serving girl. Only 2 staff on and waited ages to clock in. No staff in the morning except in the kitchen . 8.00 am

The staff were friendly and accommodating, but the cleanliness was severely lacking, which is crucial for us. Unfortunately, basic cleaning was neglected, making the place feel quite dirty. Additionally, the facilities are quite old. While the location is convenient and it was quiet, the overall experience was disappointing, and we won’t be returning.

It was a rip off, no resemblance to the website- it was a total mess. It should never have been advertised in it's current condition. It stank of mold/damp, it was extremely dirty, carpet was also disgusting. No tea or coffee no food service, access to the rooms was dangerous and extension leads used. We had booked for two nights but left the next morning discussed and no redund was allowed. We have traveled extensively and never been so appalled by the standard of the accommodation offered. Booking.com need to take this hotel off their books for the sake of their reputation.
