Positive section of review
Not a great fan of continental type breakfasts and this was no exception. Property was quite pleasing and the rooms were sufficient size to be comfortable and well laid out. Plenty of towels etc for the shower as required. Host was pleasant and good to talk with.

The accommodation is situated in a small village with few amenities and consequently a drive of 5 miles was required to get an evening meal.

It was really clean and comfortable. Debbie was so friendly and helpful, very knowledgeable about the district and couldn’t do enough to help in any way. The breakfast was also excellent with plenty to choose from and really quick friendly service.

The whole stay was perfect, welcoming off the staff, hotel clean, facilities good, entertainment was fantastic, view and location brilliant really enjoyed it will be booking up again soon

Staff excellent and very friendly . Parking nearby . Breakfast was excellent although fresh fruit salad , yoghurts and pastries would have been a good addition.

South Molton has poor facilities and lacks a decent restaurant and , as The George doesn’t offer evening meals or a decent lunch menu this wasn’t great . The George is well run but South Molton itself is a poor location .

Stunning castle in the most wonderful setting. Room was spacious with stunning views. The staff were lovely.

The staff on reception when we arrived , from a long drive and ferry journey, could not careless on an arrival and gave us the key and poor directions to find our room.

Didn’t do evening meals but will order in for you. The local restaurant (the white horse) on the race course has shut down which is a real shame
