Positive section of review
We went for a family wedding for three nights, the location was fantastic the staff were so nice and couldn't do enough for you, the room was a chalet at the back of the hotel, it was absolutely spotless bed was so comfy, we even had Netflix on our TV, all the facilities were brilliant they even had irons, ironing boards hair dryers, breakfast was lovely and loads of choice, would highly recommended to anyone thinking of staying, plenty to do all around the hotel, and shops and places to eat very close, look forward to going back.

The venue is clean and we were greeted by the owners on arrival. They were the friendliest people you could ask for and could not do more for you to make your stay as comfortable as possible. They take a genuine interest in all thier guests. They done a great breakfast and helped us with any queries we had. We will be back!

Cannot fault the stay. It is in a rural area which was inconvenient for us as we were going to a wedding but if you are looking for a rural escape, this is the place.

This was self catering therefore breakfast not provided. The cottage was refurbished to a very good standard but, because of the layout it had a lot of stairs with the shower in the eaves of the cottage and sadly not suitable for a larger guest but well furnished.

The parking, we now know was a long way from the cottage and I felt it should have been made clear that parking is on the other side of the canal, completely unsuitable for me as I cannot walk long distances due to severe health conditions. I have to add that, had I had known this I would have never made the booking. If parking was nearby, which does not look possible without agreement and payment to neighbours, this would then be very nice indeed.

The hotel is well located in a pleasant rural area but with great access to the motorway systems and journeys into the major cities of Chester and Liverpool. Staff welcoming and pleasant.

Two rooms booked, one of which was certainly looking very tired and in need of a makeover. The hotel lacks any eating or drinking facilities beyond tea coffee room drinks. Access road, whilst short is in need of at least one passing point and some filling of a couple of substantial potholes. Although the hotel is in a quiet rural location normal guest noise in the hotel room is very noticeable.

Absolutely stunning cottage, immaculate condition and location. Away with group of friends had an amazing time and took in the tranquil views.
