The only way to leave a review is to first make a booking. That's how we know our reviews come from real guests who have stayed at the property.

When guests stay at the property they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff are and more.

After their trip, guests tell us about their stay. We check for naughty words and verify the authenticity of all guest reviews before adding them to our site.

The room was clean and comfortable and serviced daily. The breakfast was very good. The location was excellent for the restaurants in the centre of Woodstock and for exploring Blenheim Palace which was only a 10 minute walk away. Buses into Oxford ran every half hour, cost £2, the journey took 40 minutes and the bus stop was a 5 minute walk away.

Car Parking was restricted to permit holders or short stay throughout Woodstock between 8.00am and 6.00pm every day. There was a free car park near the fire station (about 10 minutes walk from the property) but that had a maximum stay of 12 hours in any 24 hour period. A 24 hour Council car parking permit could be purchased from the property for £10 per day which would then allow you to park on the street outside the property. We would have found parking difficult without this purchase from the owner of the accomodation. There was occasional late night or early morning noise from people in the street outside our room, but this only happened a couple of times during the week we stayed.

Lovely spacious apartment nicely furnished, with small garden for our dog. Friendly owner who sorted out a couple of issues straightaway. Very central location for everything. Able to check in at lunchtime due to very long early start.Much appreciated.

Armchair leg ( previously repaired!) collapsed on sitting, could have caused serious injury, narrowly missed head on corner of table. Repaired again & put back! Dirty towels from last guests left in washing machine.

Extremely good value for Henley, quirky and compact accommodation, if you have experience of caravan stays, this should give you no problems for a stay of a couple of nights. Everything was clean and prepared for our arrival, with good communication.

The only issue we had was light coming in through the door window, from the house security light.

The bedding and towels were clean and the lady on reception was friendly. There was tea and coffee in the room. It was good value for money in respect that we wanted a room for 3 people and it was close by to the funeral we attended. Good location
Negative section of review
There was a smell of smoke down the hallway even though it was advertised as non smoking. The mattresses on the bed had the springs pushing through and so none of us has a particularly comfortable night however the most annoying was that someone had their TV on all night and it disturbed us. The wall under the window had tea or coffee stains all down the wall. It was dusty along the skating boards behind the bed. These things could be improved.

The room was clean and comfortable , spacious and light , tea and coffee facility, for a short stay it was just fine. The location was perfect for my needs. No breakfast bar but lots of coffee shops very close .

The steep dark stairs could be a problem for many , the reception area was rather cluttered and dark but the staff were friendly and efficient.

there was nothing we didn't like all was good 😊

There was nothing that I particularily liked, the room was adequate, reasonably clean and bright with unmarked white painted walls. I was able to sleep relatively well.

The bathroom was a shower room with a high step not obvious. The shower had black mould in the joints and the shower mat was filthy. I was locked out of the hotel, I returned at 9.45 p.m. aafter a visit to Pickering only to find that the downstairs was dark and empty, the door was locked and I didn't have a key. I had to take a taxi to a nearby Premier Inn, only to find that it was full. The staff at the Premier Inn were wonderful. After two hours of internet searching they managed to find the current owner who agreed to leave the door open for me. One of the night staff used her own car to take me there. In the morning I went down for breakfast, at 9.00 a.m. only to be told I was too late. However, one of the staff members did me a breakfast, having told me that the reception staff should have advised me of the hours. I got an apology for being given the wrong keys, apparently I had the cleaner's key not a guest set. I was not offered a discount or a refund for the expenses I incurred.
