The only way to leave a review is to first make a booking. That's how we know our reviews come from real guests who have stayed at the property.

When guests stay at the property they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff are and more.

After their trip, guests tell us about their stay. We check for naughty words and verify the authenticity of all guest reviews before adding them to our site.

Loved the location for views, walking from the door and the garden for our dogs. The cottage was spacious, well laid out and very well equipped. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom had a great shower. When my sister got locked out by accident the hosts were right on the end of the phone and were so lovely about the whole thing. We will definitely be back.

The only thing I would highlight to other dog owners, the garden is enclosed, but not secure. If you have an escape artist or a dog that will climb/jump they will be able to get out. There's so much wildlife around, ours were very excited by all the smells, so it's just something to be mindful of :)

Spacious room with king sized comfortable bed. The view of the forth of Clyde, of the shore line and spectacular scenery made my stay an absolute pleasure. Everything was clean and tidy and adequate facilities. Receptionist was very hospitable, helpful and friendly and overall was a great choice.

The lift was disabled but not a great problem for me. Also, a rather stale smell throughout the Hotel but tolerable and not a big issue.

First room hadn't been cleaned. Walked into second room and it was occupied ! Third room lucky . Staff were very apologetic and offered us a free drink. The concrete building next door is an eyesore.

The hotel has had a recent make over and bears little resemblance to the photos seen on line (need updating). Whilst the refurb creates a fresh look there appears to have been significant cost cutting. The room we were in was very small with the smallest toilet/shower I have seen in a hotel, with the wash basin located outside and in the bedroom. No fridge and no aircon or a fan in the room. No bed side tables available and only one chair. The smallest T.V. I have seen for decades, no larger than a lap top. The beautiful original window flower boxes (see online pictures) now contain grubby plastic flowers. No power sockets by the bed heads. Breakfast does not have a menu available and is “Full English” option only. No alternative buffet with fruit etc. offered. You are allowed to leave items off the full English however. Sadly the very pleasant outlook does not make up for the hotels’ obvious shortcomings.
