Lovely apartment, very clean, modern, comfy bed, fluffy towels, kitchen had everything needed for a few days stay. Location 10 mins walk along the river into York. Parking on the road, permit available, which is left in the apartment.

The portable fan - could perhaps be updated to a better quality one, as you do need it, as the apartment can get quite warm.

Did not have the hotel breakfast. Location perfect. 4 mins walk from station, central easy to walk to all city centre stuff Staff all very friendly and welcoming courteous Swimming pool lovely

Phone not working in room Ordered room service (just snacks) and it took nearly an hour to come. They did apologise but I think as part of excellent service in a 5 star hotel they shouldn’t be charging you when this happens

Room was very cute and spotlessly clean, nice breakfast choice and very tasty, cooked perfect, the owners were the perfect hosts. Highly recommended, will definitely be back.

Right by the beach , it is very spacious .,most comfy beds we ever had in a holiday home ,nice clean towels, toiletries, and very quiet at night.

Spacious apartment with washer dryer . Don’t book unless you are very fit and happy to carry luggage up and down a lot of stairs.

Three flights of stairs to access the apartment (they are all on 2nd and 3rd floor) . No instructions for washer dryer. TV needed to be retuned. Contact with staff pre stay to access assistance with luggage was a waste of time - paid total strangers £20 pound to carry up our two cases and also did this when leaving

Squirrel lodge is very comfy and clean. Lisa & Les are so accommodating. The site is immaculate. The shops are very near by.

Reasonably priced and close to sea. Room well equipped and clean.

Dreadful mattress. Would have slept better in my car. Room very hot. No phone plug near bed. Water pressure ridiculously slow - ok for running a bath (which I prefer) but can't imagine having a shower. Lack of sleep caused by heat and lumpy mattress made the cheap price less of a bargain. Would rather have paid more elsewhere to have a comfortable night. There's a £5 per say charge for using car park. And even if you check in online, you will probably stand in queue at reception to get your key. Wouldn't stay here again.

Bathroom had mould on the bathroom grout, mouldy bathroom ceiling. Toilet had a slight leak so every 5 minutes through the night it kept topping up loudly.
