Absolutely everything. Charming old features. Beams across the ceiling. The biggest bed ever in the most spacious and comfiest of rooms ever. A lovely bathroom, too - finished to a high spec. Fantastic location... close enough to the airport but far enough away to feel like you were somewhere in the countryside. Wondeful host, too

Host (Andrew) was very helpful, gave us lots of recommendations. The property was in a good location with a lovely lake at the end of the road and a great walk along the river just over the road into the City Centre. The apartment is very clean, bright and well equipped for a city break stay.

The kitchen tap needed securing properly into the worktop and the shower pressure was low.

Breakfast was excellent and the room we had had the bonus of a balcony with a countryside view. Our hosts were lovely and friendly. Also, another bonus, only a mile from the two RSPB reserves.

It was clean, but the rooms had a lot of beds in which I am not quite sure whether it complies with the UK Law. However, the care taker and the cleaning staff were great.

There were some tenants who were intimidating, especially for female guests and those Tenants were long time tenants, therefore they Behave like if the hostel is their own property.

The location was very ideal and accommodation was welcoming, well furnished and exactly like on the pictures.

We were a group of 3 friends (clearly indicated in the booking) and it was only set up for 2. There were only 2 towels and no bedsheet for the sofa bed. When we texted the owner to inquire, they were convinced that we were meant to have everything but we didn’t. They said the best that could be done would be to be delivered the sheets and towel the following morning. Not ideal but no other solution. We waited all morning the following day and nothing arrived. We texted again and the only response was that the cleaning team would be passing by “positively” at some point. When they eventually came (around 1ish), everything was given to us in a bin bag. Such a shame as the place in itself was very good but we don’t keep an amazing memory because but this incident and how it was dealt with.

Due to the apartment build there are no windows that can be opened. Very hot day and no fresh air to circulate the apartment. There are fans but didn’t help at all.

This property has mould / fungus growing on the ceiling of the single bedroom space, which is very close to the bed (v low ceiling). The owner is fully aware and yet didn’t bother to tell us about it beforehand. Son had to sleep on the sofa and blinds do not make the space dark enough to sleep. Requested partial refund and have been offered £20. We paid £144 so £44 I would have thought reasonable as we did stay (what choice did we have?) Owner also messaged to ask us to leave a positive review before we had even checked in. I realise things happen (apparently a leak in another flat) but if you know about it, make people aware so they can make an informed decision! After raising the problem the owner stopped communicating.
