We had an amazing stay, everything was perfect, one of the best places I have ever stayed. The location is lovely and peaceful, the bell tent was amazing, clean and cosy and the facilities are fantastic. A lovely hot shower, the kitchen is equipped with everything you could need. We also made use of the fire pit and bbq which was amazing, thoroughly recommend staying here, we will definitly be back!

The staff were very pleasant and tried to be as helpful possible. The foyer. Now after visiting a number of times, I feel this hotel has dropped standards. We came to dance a couple of days at the Ballroom in the tower as our main purpose for visiting The staff were very nice, especially Stuart, Panyotta, Jenna and Amanda. The Indian chap on evening duty was very nice too BUT many problems.

Room 125. More a fur coat and no knickers hotel now. Lovely on entrance and dining room, but the rooms itself are poor. First. £30 to park is indecent. 2. Mattress's worn out and too soft 3. Complimentary tray not replenished 4.Tatty scratched furniture. I know the excuse will be old charm but if a tinted varnish applied and handles put back on, it can only improve a ruined furniture. 5 All chairs were grubby on the arms 6 Breakfast plentiful but fried eggs like rubber every time. not edible, cold mushrooms, no porridge or oats. Some of us are diabetic 7 Main bedroom lights failed on both nights 8. Phone hardly ever answered in reception. Had to go down. 9. Toilet had to be flushed 6 times before it cleared. 10. I requested a toilet brush, but none came. Ok, for a pound I can buy a temporary one 11. Switches on bedhead very dirty 12 Had to move the round table into the little hallway as that was where the sockets were to be able to boil the kettl 13. Alarms. went off on both days, and I realise it is for our safety but the second one was false and the noise was deafening for ten minutes I don't like to complain because we had a nice time and I like the hotel but it's not worth the money in this state and we will look elsewhere if not improved. Friends will inform me. I am not a miser but in fact a very friendly and sociable chap so it took a lot to write this review. I know the response will be .....Thank you for choosing The Imperial, we are sorry it wasn't up to standards expected but your review is noted and will be brought to our attention. I am aware it's an old hotel but so are Claridges and the Savoy, even though five star. :-) The usual reply but I feel it will be a standard reply or similar but things may not change. Waste of money as I could have found better nearer the tower. I would love to come again but not experience this last set of problems. Thank you

What's not to like infact 'Love' about this amazing place!! absolutely perfect I cannot pick a fault it's spotlessly clean, feels like home and waking up to a view as good as it is, is worth paying for I would live here if I could!!

Great location for walking into Chester.

Worst breakfast we’ve ever had. Couldn’t eat it as the sausage tasted nothing like sausage and as for the hash brown I’m not even sure what it was. Yellow, cold and soggy. Toast was edible but that was about it. Even the tea was tasteless.
