The staff is exceptionally friendly and attentive. The gym is extremly well-equiped and big, best hotel gym I‘ve ever been in. Cozy rooms with really comfortable beds. The old house with it‘s surroundigs are just amazing and make you feel like a lady living the best life on her estate.

Only lowlight was the spa area. Nowhere was mentioned that it‘s not on the estate itself and has to be paid extra. But this was not the worst about it: moldy showers, no relaxation area for resting between saunas, no real cool down opportunities, the „infinity pool with a view over Loch Lomond“ was more a big bathtub with view over the golf course.

For one person, it was ideal, very cosy. It had everything I needed. Ideally situated for the Riverside, the Riverside walks, and the town that has plenty of food and drink places. For real craft beers, try Micropub, the Curfew. Great coffee at Northern Edge coffee.

Didn't really know anything about parking until I got there and worked it out. Essentially, there is a car park (Foul Ford) about a minute away. Really ideally situated, but it has a maximum stay 24 hours, no return for 4 hours. Great if you're going out and about and taking the car, but if you're planning on leaving it, you'll have to move it elsewhere for 4 hours.

View from room good but needed more ventilation. Breakfast good but had to move dirty dishes out of the way myself. Restaurant menu very poor choices. Dog in bedroom nearby barking for over 15 minutes about midnight!!

Don't like having to wait to go into bar. Nobody hardly ever there to take room number or name. Can't see the point of doing it. We and lots of other guests just walked in.

asked for an upstair bedroom when I booked the hotel and got a ground floor one on arrival. There was no natural light and the outlets didn't work. the bathroom was very dysfunctional, got stuck in the dark in the shower because it was a movement detector light and not a switch, no water pressure, no shower head, no handles in the inside of the shower doors so very unpractical
