Very basic room but works well for 1 night catching the Eurotunnel. Small heater in room. Big comfy bed. On the sea front. Having renovations done so scaffolding up at present. Bar looked inviting but I got there late & soaking wet so had no time to check it out. tea & coffee making facilities but I had to move kettle to be able to plug it in. Basic shower. I think the hotel itself is probably nice but I only really saw my room. Helpful staff

Our host was very friendly, welcoming & helpful. The location was quiet but convenient for local buses. Everything was very clean. There was a wide choice for the continental breakfast.

The location and living area was fantastic, two bedrooms and two bathrooms were really useful

The toilets didn’t flush properly, we were alerted to an issue with the shower which seemed ok, but the toilets were incredibly difficult to flush if they flushed at all, one bed was far too low to the ground and really difficult to have a comfortable sleep in, the other bed had a better frame but the mattress was old and sagged in the middle.

Room was clean and had well stocked. Food served in the pub was served quickly.

Neither of the double rooms booked came with a full sized double bed, which is a very misleading statement to use when listing the room type. They should have been described as a small double. The beds were only 4ft/120cm wide, which led to an uncomfortable night for everyone. This is not the only time i have encountered this. I wish you as the booking site would list the size of the bed as a measurement, i.e., 120cm/4ft rather than Double / King as these terms vary between establiments. Had i known the bed was going to be that small, I would have booked something different.

It needs a face lift paint wise and definitely all the windows need cleaning. Disappointed in our cream tea as only came with cream ,no bitter or jam and all I was offered was 2 pots of jam ? Whoch weren't any good to me after eating the scones with just cream Unfortunately we were woken by someone's dog left in a room and it cried and howled for at least an hr
