The accommodation was well equipped and very comfortable. Bedrooms were spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The property was only a few minutes walk from the Lough. A supermarket was also a few minutes walk away. Portaferry is a lovely town and the ferry allows easy access to Strangford.

The location was excellent. The room and bed were comfortable. The breakfast was of a low standard but acceptable.

There was a low generator noise that made it difficult to fall asleep. The noise of people walking up and down the corridors at night was distracting and some soundproofing would be advisable.

Where to start.... firstly, when booking through booking.com, I requested a property that had on-site parking. I wouldn't have booked otherwise. I was visiting Whitby with my partner & Mam on the weekend of the fish & ships festival. Obviously, parking was an issue at such a busy period, we ended up driving around for two hours trying to get parked. We finally managed to get a spot in the car park next to this accommodation - at a charge! NOT STATED AT THE POINT OF BOOKING! When we finally entered the accommodation, we were greeted by the most unstable stairs that resembled a 80s school building. the rooms themselves were cramped & unclean & very badly assembled (my partner is a joiner) so it was quickly pointed out that old worktops had been used to make shelves, tables etc. The whole room seemed like it had had a rushed clean (if you can call it that) The microwave had bean juice on the handle, the shirting boards & frames hadn't been cleaned at all - for a long time! The beds was hastily made & messy (mams looked like someone had just got our of it!) The mirrors had marks on them. Hilariously, we had a washing up bowl in an excuse of a kitchenette - with no sink?? Then came the bathroom......... The door into the bathroom was very narrow, this led to a toilet that resembled & aeroplane. This had a small sink with a glass shelf above, making it impossible to wash your face etc. There was also nowhere to hang towels or toilet paper. Then to the side, a 40cm gap which led to the most claustrophobic shower I have ever seen. Obviously this hadn't been cleaned as the previous resident had stuck a price sticker on one of the plastic panels. needles to say, we didn't use the shower! On the pictures on Booking.com, it shows a swimming pool. This is NOT on site & an extra charge applies. We also booked breakfast, this too wasn't on site which wasn't stated.
