The only way to leave a review is to first make a booking. That's how we know our reviews come from real guests who have stayed at the property.
2
When guests stay at the property they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff are and more.
3
After their trip, guests tell us about their stay. We check for naughty words and verify the authenticity of all guest reviews before adding them to our site.

This is a lovely 5* hotel in the centre of beautiful Chester. We try and visit once a year and this time it was for just one night. The service is top notch. We walked from the car park and our bags were whisked away while we checked in and soon appeared in our room. The room itself was a good size as was the bathroom. There are nice touches like hand (home) made shortbread on the tea tray and fresh milk in the mini bar. The Continental breakfast is good quality if a little limited but you can purchase a cooked option from the menu if that is your preference. We will be back again soon!

It's a good quality hotel in one of our favourite cities. Nothing to complain about at all.

The staff were lovely, especially the breakfast staff, and the breakfast was the nicest hotel buffet breakfast I’ve ever had. The cleaners were also so friendly and nice. Loved the late check-out time, too! Gave us time to really enjoy breakfast. Great location, too!

The only thing that could have been better, is that when I booked it, it said there would be a coffee maker and there wasn’t. That’s my only criticism as I was looking forward to using a fancy coffee maker haha. There was a kettle, though!

Excellent location and extremely helpful staff. Always there for you, even took our bags up for us and brought them down when we left. Gave us directions to where we wanted to go. Always had a smile on their faces.

On the Hadrian's wall route so very convenient. Pub serves good pub style food and we enjoyed the breakfast. Good value for rhe room.

Wifi wasn't working in the rooms which are in a separate building to the pub. Felt a little isolated.
