Staff are absolutely fantastic, nothing is too much trouble. When you are working away from home it’s so important to see a friendly face.

This place was amazing. The studio room was so good with an outside area to sit and relax. The bar was nice and the staff very friendly.

Modern, clean, very well presented and plenty of home comforts.

Hard to list anything really, it would be nicer if milk was provided in the fridge in a carton rather than in the tiny little hotel room pots which just cause mess and you never get enough but difficult to fault the room at all.

It's a beautiful building and the rooms very lovely.

This stay was expensive but very disappointing and overpriced. I still can't believe the prices of things. When we first arrived we ordered some sandwiches at the bar, all about £10 each. I was utterly stunned to see they were using the thinnest bread imaginable for them, I think it was the cheapest Tesco Value bread money can buy! My salmon sandwich came with no cream cheese or chives and a big spread of butter instead which was revolting. At breakfast the next morning toast was this same thin excuse for bread and I still can't believe a place is getting away with that! There were never any potato cakes on the menu and clearly, they advertise having things that they never actually buy in. It's insulting to customers to charge such huge prices and provide such awful food. The rooms we had were lovely and large and expensive. The toiletries were nice but having used one set of bath foam one evening on the children housekeeping didn't bother to replenish them the next day which was disappointing and parsimonious. I think for us, everywhere we looked were corners being cut and customers being taken advantage of. I didn't use the Spa treatments but the pool was grotty and needs a refurbishment, it looks nothing like the pictures. Staff were mostly either young and feckless or much older, unsmiling and incredibly curt to the point of almost being rude. We booked it as it was advertised as having 12 or so acres but when we asked about going for walks we were told there was one short circular, or we could go for a wander on the golf course but to watch out for golf balls. Unbelievable really. One of our guests didn't like dogs and apart from dogs on leads in the hotel outside it was a free-for-all all with no dogs on leads and this impacted his enjoyment and stay.
