Jay was a fantastic host who did everything possible to make us welcome. The property was lovely, the room was very comfortable, and everything we needed was provided. A short walk to the end of the road gave us sea views, free parking was included right outside the door, it made for a perfect little weekend break for us. We'll definitely be staying here again next time we visit Scarborough, thanks Jay.

The room was very clean and comfortable with good amenities. Breakfast was extremely good with an excellent selection. Very convenient for the car hire hub and the terminal we were flying from the next day.

Property is well central to the town and is well furnished. A modern vibe and nice bedrooms and bathrooms, the beds in particular are very comfortable, always important after a long day walking.

The outside area, as previously mentioned by other reviews isn't good. It is not possible to sit out as there is a lack chimney linked to the Italian downstairs, firing out smell and smoke at times. The whole property needs a deep clean, there wasn't even a clean cloth available for wiping around. The light switches don't work right in the living room. The entrance to the property is simply not for anyone with any disabilities there a lot of steps, winding steps up to the door entrance, this area does also look very run down and isn't inviting. Lastly we weren't sent the lock key code to get the key and struggled to get in touch with the owner. A phone number is supplied for contact but this wasn't even switched on or connected and had to go through Booking.com which was tiresome after a long journey.

We stayed here during the May Day Bank Holiday. With two your girls, this cottage was ideal with a nice garden, everything we needed and ideally located for the 10minute drive to Southwold.
