We stayed in the St Julien Suite... - The size of the bathroom was great. It had a lovely roll top bath too. - The staff are great, faultless, but I felt sorry for the bar staff in particular, they are absolutely run off their feet. They need to employ more staff in that area, for sure. - The space in the hotel downstairs is awesome, really quite impressive but not a sign of what is upstairs.

We stayed in the St Julien Suite... - The room was NOT a suite, it is a double room with a sofa placed in it, not what was advertised on the website (no separate seating or dining area, no table etc), just a bed and a sofa. - The TV is tiny for the room, really small. - The bathroom was not clean... the shower had mould and the windows and corners were dirty and need a deep clean. The room is very dark, the window looks directly on to a brick wall and is way too small for the room. This isn't helped by the poor room lighting, as a woman, trying to do your make up is impossible. - Although the bathroom was big and bright, the shower was rubbish, the water pressure was poor. - The hotel lift.... blimey... it's an experience. Risky, is how I would describe it. - Breakfast... We stayed 2 nights, we went for breakfast on the first morning and everything was old... the black pudding and bacon had curled and was bone dry, the beans had a skin, the eggs, well I didn't even bother as they looked awful. The cutlery on the table had bits on so we had to get a new set. Service, again was good but the food was terrible. We didn't go again on morning 2 even though we had paid for it.

It is noisy at this location. Very hard to sleep at night in the superior room since it on the street. Some sound proofing needs to be done in order to make this a proper superior room.

No bin in the room. Paper cups for drinks, not proper cups, are quite wasteful - not environmentally friendly. TV didn't work as no signal (?)
