The lobby area was strangely forbidding: dark, cafeteria-like. Highly informal.We did not take breakfast. reception staff were extremely friendly and efficient. Our requests were met promptly in every case. Upgraded room was comfortable (although a new mattress would have been nice). All past its prime but very clean, functional, and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay. A good address for location for theatres and walking visit of London. You can have breakfast at Fortnums if you like.

Rob was really friendly and gave us such a warm welcome. He was very kind to our dog too! The beds were so so comfortable, breakfast delicious, room was very clean and it’s just a couple of minutes away from the Eurotunnel - so convenient! We took a couple of lovely walks in the fields right next to the accommodation and saw bunnies and a fox!

The hotel is very well located for attending events at the 02 as the bus goes right by there. It is also a short walk to Blackheath train station. The hotel is also right next to Greenwich park and the observatory is a short walk away. The staff were all pleasant and the breakfast was good. The room was nice.

The only gripe I'd have is that the curtains on the windows do not keep the light out. As a sensitive sleeper that's not helpful. Everything else was fine.

Very pleasant personal approach of the lady of the house Muriel, excellent tips from her on the surroundings and places for dinner. Callander is an excellent place for nearby trips.

Great location, easy walking distance of lovely, pubs, bars and restaurants. Lovely hotel, nice green to sit outside in good weather. Lovely breakfast.

There was no dressing table, we had a wedding to go to and it was very difficult to dry my hair and do my make up as the only mirror that was lit was in the bathroom but nothing near a plug to dry and straighten hair, had to stretch wires and stand in the hall looking into the bathroom!! No space for make up by the bathroom mirrors either without fear of it falling in the toilet!! Plates at breakfast were cold!

Needs a thorough cleaning, drapes dusty, cobwebs, Furniture looks dingy and carpets are very dirty. The shower did not work very well and the door wouldn’t close in the shower. Should be as clean as a hotel room and it wasn’t even close. No handsoap in the bathroom.
