Did plan on having some pub food or at least a drink at the bar on arrival but when we arrived all seats were taken by non residents and parties going on , it was very lively. Great location, great value , netflix on TV great bonus thank you. Breakfast was delish!

The restaurant table layout , big long bench tables , wasting space really as a lot of people this will put off sitting as don't want to share a table . Also need signs when party going on

Not a complaint but my bath plug didn’t seem to stop water flowing away and that meant hot water literally down the drain which is an expensive fault for them.

Parking was a problem. There are only two disabled bays at the front of the hotel. We had to park in the street which made it difficult to carry luggage etc.

Only criticism was arrived for breakfast 9.30 , had to wait to be seated which was r an issue as very busy but then hardly any cooked breakfast left , chef would not make more scrambled egg as 9.55 and breakfast finished at 10 …. This was despite many others waiting for breakfast … Member of the dining staff was filling up take away boxes with breakfast items presumably for staffs breakfast ….. not good as then only small amount left for the paying guest ..

We booked this property as a special treat as we were on our honeymoon, having just got married the day before. We told the receptionist this and she wasn’t particularly interested. When we arrived in our room, the ceiling was leaking so we moved to another room (later we found that the tv wasn’t connected to the internet but after further experiences with staff decided not to bother asking about it). The worst part happened on our first morning where my husband’s wedding ring came off in the pool and fell down a grate at the bottom. He told a member of staff who said that the grate could not be removed. A pair of goggles and a sparkler was then handed over to my husband and he was forced to dive for it in front of other guests. This was an extremely difficult task as the grate opening was very dark and he ended up dislodging it so it could no longer be seen. We decided to go out and take our minds off it but then hours later received a phone call telling us that the grate had been removed and they could not see the ring. If the grate had been removed in the first place, the ring would have been easily accessible! This whole experience really put a dampener on our honeymoon. Not a single member of staff checked in with us or asked if we were okay after that. This was certainly not five star service and we felt completely anonymous and ignored by the staff. The room was not very clean with dark hairs on the sheets and a pair of goggles and a swimming cap inside a robe in the wardrobe. It is also shocking to charge £15 per average cocktail. I would have rather stayed at a 3 star hotel where the staff build a relationship with you than here - never again!!
