I stayed for one night. The location was great being a short walk from the dockside development and there was ample parking. Access to the hotel was with the emailed pin code and the room was quiet and reasonably well appointed. The wifi worked and the bed was comfortable. There were no other guests, so far as I could tell, so I can't comment on how quiet it would have been if more busy.

The room was rather cold as only one of the radiators worked. I contacted the duty telephone number and was told a member of "the team" would get back to me but they didn't. Breakfast was a case of helping yourself and the choice was extremely limited. The accommodation is more like a hostel than a guest house as there appeared to be no staff on site. That wasn't made clear in the description and though not really a problem for this short stay, I would probably not stay again.

Everything is perfect in this property. This was our second stay, we stayed last July with both our parents and our kids and then came back for my mums 60th at the end of March with my brothers and family and they were just as impressed as we are with the facilities and spacious rooms, all with own TVs and sitting areas.

When arriving after 6 hour journey which should have been 3 we were starving so ordered food which was delicious. Then off to the family room which was lovely nice comfortable beds plenty of space. Tea and coffee with a little biscuit with enough milk to actually make a cup of tea made me very happy

Just a few bits that could make this place better lift was out of order both me and my husband have health issues so fixing that would be good. Also the mastic around the bath needed replacing small job that would make a big impact

Despite having stayed numerous times still have to show my passport, which has expired, and to be told I have to renew - when I can’t afford it! It’s a little frustrating

Luke warm shower not great when it’s already cold Very hard to find this property, after walking around for 45 minutes I had to call the owner Sign was on a gate that was anchored back so couldn’t be seen , picture of the gate arch way on this page would save a lot of frustration and having to call the owner, as people will find it much easier !

I was more than dissatisfied with the bed. My expectations may of been too high; I did not expect to have two single beds push together to create a double, with only a mattress topper knitting both beds together. This is something I’d expect from a budget hotel, not a prestigious hotel like The Grand. Needless to say I had a woeful night’s sleep, falling through the centre divide.
