The property owner’s mum, Marie, greeted us with the key and any information we needed know as soon as we got there. She was so helpful in letting us know restaurants in the area and any questions we had! Abbey (the owner) is exceptionally aware of asking whether we needed a twin/double bed for our stay as well as making it ready for the time we were arriving. Facilities were perfect for the night we were staying for! Really nice shower, comfortable beds and a nice little coffee/tea area with everything we needed including some biscuits which was a nice touch. Lots of leaflets and taxi numbers as well which is good if you’re going to go out somewhere!

There wasn’t a bin bag in the main bedroom which was a bit of a hindrance when we had a cup of tea but overall it didn’t make the experience worse it might have just been forgotten about by accident on the day! It was also very hot in the bedroom pretty much all through the night. They do have a Dyson fan which is a bonus which has a timer too so it was okay.

The shepherds hut was a lovely place to stay for 2 people with easy collection of keys and an onsite designated parking space. The location was perfect for visiting Arundel castle and gardens which were about 1 mile away and also for cafes/restaurants. The Deer Hut had everything we needed and was extremely comfortable. There was a separate bathroom with a lovely rainfall shower and clean towels were provided. Fully recommend this place to stay.

The staff were friendly (every person we interacted with). The bar was spacious and good value for money. Our room was comfortable and clean. We especially appreciated having large windows that actually opened so we could enjoy fresh air. We were impressed by how quiet it was, even on a weekend in Pride Month.

Nicely located on the country, beautifull surronding, recently refurbished, simple but fully equiped rooms. A cosy bar/restaurant where one feels at home. Cooking largely meets espectations. Besides the team is super friendly!

The Brasserie at Abode was very disappointing. We had evening meal and were told when we entered that they were "very busy" - there were not a lot of customers. We had a burger, which was nicely cooked but took an hour to be served! The serving staff were slow and miserable. Next day we had breakfast, as we had paid for it. The serving staff were very cheery and helpful. The food took a little while but was of poor quality. My overall marks for the hotel would have been better if it had not been for the disappointment of the Brasserie.

Ibis got my payments messed up for the second time now. Also, even with an event on, £199 per night is too expensive for a "budget" hotel.

Worse hotel in Brighton entrance way dirty no reception or customer services run down front nothing like the price mould in bathroom windows have lots of dirty on no working lamps or tv no wardrobe more of hostal then hotel has people living then poss drugs on site people banging on doors all night did not feel safe has hottubs did not look for then did not feel would be clean or safe to use
