The hotel is excellent and is situated right in the heart of Picadilly! Upon arrival we had an employee guiding us where we should do the self check-in. The lobby smells wonderful and they have a snack and beauty vending machines next to the lifts, and also a cafe. The room was spacious and very cool with the lighting. In the bathroom you have soap and shampoo. WiFi worked really well and was fast! For non UK travelers, the rooms have UK socket with USB ports. The room was extremely silent and we couldn’t hear absolutely anything from other rooms.

- Although the room didn’t have a hairdryer, you can rent one for £10, which seemed a bit overpriced, so we didn’t rented. - Not sure if all the rooms are the same, but in our room, the duvets were too short and only covered half of the bed. If we covered ourselves from the neck down, our legs and feet were uncovered. We trued turning the duvets, but it made no difference. Luckily the room had heating, so we turned it on, otherwise we would have been cold during the night.

Location was perfect for a reason to visit, the room was perfect for us, clean, tidy and pet friendly. The host was fantastic, super helpful and even made us dinner on our first evening due to us arriving late, he really could not do enough to help. Breakfast was fantastic and there was more than enough for us.

Beautiful surroundings, quiet with lots of wildlife. Lots of seating space indoors and outdoors. We had light bites for the evening which were good and it was nice not to have to have a full meal. Breakfast was lovely with lots of choice.

The room we stayed in was very hot, there was a fan in the room but the window didn’t open very wide so it retained the heat.

Overall a clean hotel and room. Nothing glaringly poor in terms of cleanliness or functionality of the room. There was a refrigerator in the room. The TV worked fine. Soap and shower gel provided. No obvious mould in room.

The elevator is small and terribly slow - also when busy it was hard to get in as the elevator goes to the top floor and works its way down, so if you're on a lower floor it is always occupied. Bed could have been more comfortable for the price paid - it was a basic spring mattress. Overall the room was pleasant enough, but the value was not good. But I suppose that is more of a market rate problem.

Toilet is saniflow and very noisy. Room could do with updating touches for price paid. We stayed Friday and Saturday so expected noise after bedtime however 1.30am was a bit much. Breakfast next door which is no problem lovely decor and clean dining room but no cooked offering. We did go elsewhere on day 2 just to get decent coffee.

Greek salad and feta cheese starter was very poorly presented. Despite asking for rare or "bleu" steak, ended up getting "medium rare"

As it was listed as being an ex Jury's hotel I thought it would be up to the jury's standard, however the room was more to a Travel Lodge standard with an open wardrobe and no draws for storage, we upgraded to a superior room at another £50 per night which was better but still lift a lot to be desired. I have stayed in hotels in London which at that money would be a lot better and Breakfast would have been included.
