Friendly and helpful staff. Good sized room. Plenty of options for breakfast which was made to order. Easy walk into town and to the park on the river. Easy drive to other attractions. Parking provided.

The property is isolated if you don’t have a car. There are no meals, apart from breakfast, at the hotel.

I didn't like the room at all. It was painted grey and red which would have worked if the lighting was better. The lighting was appalling - very dim with no option for brighter lighting to get ready to go out. I couldn't see in the mirror to make my face up. There was no decent sized mirror to check an outfit. Cannot imagine trying to work in there. We couldn't have a drink in the bar as there was a funtion. We were given a table in the restaurant for a drink - no smile from staff and left after no attention in over 5 minutes.

Room was old, small, dark, bathrooms had a shower head that was set at the height of my chest?? in only 6ft tall. Very odd nasty smell in the corridors, old dirty carpets, far too expensive for what the hotel is, and had to pay £7.50 for parking??
