The only way to leave a review is to first make a booking. That's how we know our reviews come from real guests who have stayed at the property.

When guests stay at the property they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff are and more.

After their trip, guests tell us about their stay. We check for naughty words and verify the authenticity of all guest reviews before adding them to our site.

We went with very low expectations due to some bad reviews on trustpilot, TripAdvisor. A night before travelling, we decided to cancel to go somewhere else at the last minute, even though the fee was non-refundable. We decided to check anything related to the Lake Rookley on YouTube. The Vlogs were reassuring. We loved our family time together . The rooms were sizeable for the price. The kitchenette was well furnished. We enjoyed dinner and lunch on seperate days @ the restaurant. We did not need any assistance from staff to settle into our Caravan. It was a good experience

Unstable network and TV with no Internet connectivity. We wish there were more places and activities within walking distance.

I have stayed previously in Batty Langleys and wanted something nearby Hatton Garden, so chose the Rookery. The Rookery did not disappoint, the location, accommodation, staff and customer service were second to none. I will certainly be back

The hotel was really quite nice - the room was large & had seating beyond the bed (a desk & two armchairs). Spacious bathroom was up a few steps from the bed, making the whole room feel very large. Breakfast and gym were both good.

Walls were a bit thin, could hear our neighbors during the day.

The location was perfect, on a road but very quiet. We sat out in the garden and then inside the pub for hours Saturday evening. Food was yummy and nice range of drinks. Bathroom was newly refurbished, shower was great.

Mattress was lumpy and bumpy. We had to get a replacement towel because ours was dirty when we arrived (but this was provided with no hassle). When we got there they'd put us in a twin and a double room despite booking twins, however they corrected this when we realised.

Good location for an overnight stop on NC 500. Adequate facilities, although if four guests had been present there were not sufficient dining chairs and the table would have been a squash.

When we arrived the property had not been heated and took quite some time to warm up. It would have been nice to enter a cosy apartment.

The beds were incredibly comfy and I slept like a baby, the rooms very very clean and spacious and staff very friendly and helpful.

I wasn't used to not having a busy bar in the hotel but it was my first time staying in an Ibis so I just wasn't aware of their normal set ups but it was balanced by having a busy pub directly next door serving a lovely food selection on the menu.

The cottage was lovely everything you need and brilliant facilities

The only thing which would have been nice because of the puppy was a gate on the patio at the side

Shower was very small I'm quite a large person and it was a squeeze to get in through the sliding doors. Very hot due to the weather fan supplied but did not help much would have been better if the room had a window to open.
