The hotel is situated in the heart of Conwy, a perfect location and it has the enormous benefit of a carpark. The hotel was clean and full of character. Our room was very comfortable and well appointed. Our evening dinner was great as was the breakfast. We had sandwiches in the bar at lunchtime. They were very good.

If we had wanted an ultra-modern property we would be disappointed but we didn’t want “new” we wanted “character”. And it delivered. There was no cause to be disappointed, quite the opposite. The only point of any negativity, a minor one, is that the tables in the bar could do with a little work. This in no way detracted from our experience.

We loved it, excellent location for visiting Bodnant Gardens, Conwy and beyond. Beautiful room in keeping with the historic nature of the farmhouse, very comfortable bed, Welsh fabrics and comfortable armchairs. Lovely view of the estuary.

Booked the previous day which led to confusion about check in. More information about the room required, it turned out there is a full size fridge, microwave and cutlery and plates- enough for a simple meal. Also confusion about the inclusion of breakfast. We got the room at a very reasonable rate which apparently did not include breakfast. This was not clear. No hairdryer.

For an overnight stay the Hotel was perfect. WE needed somewhere to sleep and spent little time in our rooms. The room was small but well thought out. It was quiet and the bed was very comfortable.

The breakfast was lovely and could not fault anything. Location of hotel was great being next to the canal we had easy access to the canal footpaths to go walking which was beautiful.

The location is nice, 10 min drive to Fort Williams for dinner & drinks. You have a nice view from the front of the hotel.

The hotel was extremely worn down. You can tell there have been no investments made for a looong time. The elevator was not working (for weeks), the carpet in the hallway had disintegrated. The breakfast was horrible - unfriendly and extremely stressed staff, not much choice other than beans, meat, margarine and jam, the view was blocked by a coach. The rooms have a view out the back (parking lot), ours didn’t have soap, it was extremely warm in the rooms (in may), the window can only be opened a small crack, everything is just very old and shabby. We normally don’t have high expectations, especially since we only stayed for a night. But this was extremely disappointing. Would not recommend - choose any other place to stay.

I’ve asked repeatedly for a VAT receipt so I can claim the costs from my company but I never get an answer so if you’re travelling for business you may need to consider this.
