Everything! This hotel is an absolute gem! Parking out the front is a godsend. The hotel itself is beautiful. The staff are another level of friendly. The hotel is beautifully decorated the rooms are lush, the bed is comfy. The village is the most beautiful with the most friendly locals. The honesty bar was such a delightful touch. Breakfast was delicious, I was greeted every morning so warmly and personally that I felt valued. Honestly can't wait to come back.

It was very busy on arrival but the staff tried to look after us as quickly and efficiently as possible. The room was basic but comfortable and clean and surprisingly quiet. It is in a great location for Portman Road, and is ideal for evening matches.

Nothing springs to mind. A straightforward pub/hotel at a reasonable price.

All the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The pub décor inside was lovely and the pub had a lovely feel. The breakfast was really nice with good variety and accessible and the pub was in a good location.

The room itself was tired and dated with the bunkbed in need of a little DIY and the shower and water pressure were very poor however the room was clean. The main issue was with evening meal. The serving staff were lovely and the pub was not overly busy with it being a midweek night. We ordered starters which took a long time to arrive and when they finally did they were far from adequate. The meat on the skewers was so overcooked it was inedible and was meant to be in a satay sauce however this had clearly evaporated. We asked for a replacement only to wait for over 25 minutes and it to come out still overcooked and tough. We hoped it was just the chefs inexperience of working with that meat however the mains then came out equally disappointing. My husbands mixed grill came out with a small piece of steak, a sausage and some black pudding all overcooked. After we had finished eating a lovely waitress came over with what only can be described as an extremely dead chicken breast and apologised as it had meant to be on the mixed grill and they had forgot. He attempted to bite it and it appeared to have suffered the same mass overcooking as the starters. My daughter had Fish & Chips that were so overcooked the batter was rock hard but the highlight came from the mussels I had ordered. We came to the assumption that they had been put in the steamer the day before and left as when they arrived they were all open but all that remained was tiny shrivelled up mussels that had curled up and given up the fight. I do need to point out the sauce was delicious. As we were all hungry we thought we couldn't go wrong with deserts so ordered the salted caramel popping popcorn cheesecake. When it finally arrived we couldn't help but laugh. I have heard of deconstructed cheesecakes but this was taking it a step too far.

Proximity to town centre, free off street parking, communication received, iron/ironing board in the room, adequate towels & toiletries. Green view from window. Great breakfast & serving staff
Negative section of review
A bit dusty around the carpet edges, back of TV, tired decor, magnolia with knot stain spotting on skirting and damp stain on the ceiling.

Advised hotel beforehand that I would be travelling with my bike. On arrival was told that no bikes were allowed. Even after showing the email from ibis confirming that they were aware I was bringing a bike, I was told that there would be a £15 charge for the bike. When I explained that I had not been told this when I booked, I was allowed to bring the bike to the hotel, but I was not allowed to keep the bike in my room as I had thought. It had to be kept overnight in a store room which was a bit worrying as I was cycling from London to Paris the following day and wanted to do a last minute check that the bike was in full working order beforehand.
