Beautiful location Great garden, unfortunately the outside furniture was being jet blasted during our sunny stay. We had the bedroom with an outside space which was lovely…. needs a little tlc though. Really spacious dining area. We sat overlooking the water.

We could hear thumping music in our bedroom when we checked in and then again from 07:00. We mentioned this to the staff who were baffled.

Dinner and breakfast were really good although the menu options were fewer than previous visits. I would have like to see rib eye steak on the menu and steak baguettes because my recollection is that the beef was particulalry good.

Another guest damaged my car whilst parked overnight but that was not any fault of the hotel.

Staff all very welcoming and definitely very dog friendly. Excellent menu and delicious food. Good breakfast too. Good public footpaths for dog walking close by.

Really great location, less than 10 minutes walk from the main train station. The breakfast place downstairs is simply amazing, loved the food and the coffee.

Room decorations are a bit old fashion, and sadly i found a beg bud in my bed sheets. :/

The bedroom was ok and the bed comfortable but not quite up to the standard of a premier inn hotel!

The bathroom was of a very poor standard! The bath was chipped and there was mould in the tiling. The bath and sink plugs were not linked the their chains and the door stop located in front of the toilet bowl meant you stubbed your toes every time you used the toilet!

The shower was useless. Room 7. We could overlook the tired, water damaged carpet and the shabby bathroom as the room is huge and the bed very comfortable. BUT a decent shower is a prime requisite no matter the rate you are paying. This was an electric shower and the pressure was not good enough to maintain hot water and the shower head would not stay in the holder.
