This is a lovely friendly pub with rooms. The rooms are clean and very comfortable with good beds and plenty of hot water. The breakfast is generous and delicious. We had an evening meal and it was great. The staff are so welcoming and professional. There are walks from the door and it is in a stunning location. Everything was perfect we would definitely return if visiting the area.

The host was lovely, kind, and helpful. The room was comfortable and sparkling clean, with off-road parking available. Plenty of snacks, tea, coffee, and bottled water were provided. There were also lots of leaflets and information about Harrogate to help you decide what to do and see.

The staff were excellent with a smiling 'can do and nothing is too much trouble' attitude. The breakfast displayed a good variety of choice and was well presented and prepared. We had two evening meals and they were both of a high standard.

Great location, nice welcoming staff at reception. Clean hotel and we were upgraded to a bigger studio double room which we really liked as we had a baby and it gave him lots of extra space to run around.

The noise at night time was terrible, there was a clattering noise every 30 seconds all night long from somewhere down stairs, we thought it might have been the lift going up and down. The noise really affected our sleep as it was right outside our door. Also at 5.30am every morning the chef was making a lot of noise in the foyer breakfast area, banging cutlery in and out of trays and banging plates. It woke us all up at 5.30am every morning of our stay and we couldn't go back to sleep as it was continuous. We also found the room to be very stuffy, the air conditioning would only set to 21 degrees and wouldn't allow us to put it any lower, this was uncomfortably hot and there was no windows we could open. The air conditioning gave me a sore throat and overall we found the room to be uncomfortable and stuffy. We also found the service in the bar downstairs to be lacking. When we went into the bar we asked if we could take a seat outside, the waitress said yes and we waited for 20 minutes for her to come over to us but she didn't, we had to go back in to ask for menus, we waited another 25 minutes before she came out again. When she did come out all the drinks we pointed to on the menu she said she didn't have available and we ended up having to leave. A terrible waste of time and very disappointing.

Took us a while to receive the codes for the front door and lock box with our keys. Parking wasn’t the easiest to find and didn’t feel like the safest place to leave our car in all honesty.
