we chose this location as it was close to wasdale head to climb scafell pike! Thankfully we got the last room for the hotel for the weekend and we werent disappointed. The room had a lovely Modern bathroom with walk in shower, the bed was lovely and comfy especially after our hike! The decor was country and cosy which was perfect! The inn was super busy as local campsites were close and it was such a friendly lovely environment. The staff were informative and very helpful! Miles particularly who served us was just a beacon of excellent customer service. The communication amongst the team was great, especially around the need to wait for the chef to catch up for orders which was absolutely fine. We ordered a bottle of wine and waited. The food was nice, especially the bbq ribs dipped in the soup of the day (potato and leek). We really loved our stay, thanks for having us!

really comfortable stay with good beds, spacious rooms and shower that is very clean and allows long showers. Kitchen is fully stocked and well equipped. Lovely living room with lots of light. Flat is clean and without any smells. Good for people with allergies, like me. Paul is great host who gave us extra discount after our booking.

Spacious grounds and building in a quiet area. Lift access . Room large with good ensuite Breakfast extensive varieties offered. Staff friendly and welcoming. .plenty of room for parking. Facilities were all we could ask. Bed and pillows comfortable

Located a couple of miles from city centre but bus was just down on the corner and a cheap fare into town. Didn't eat at their restaurant as prices seemed on the high side

I was met at the door by Gareth. He was polite,very helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The room was very cozy. Just how i like it. The breakfast was really good cooked very well. I would recommend the holly trees very much.

Rooms are fairly small so layout creates a bit of traffic jam moving around. Soundproofing between rooms could be better.

Great location to explore Cornwall from. Beach access, indoor pool facilities, comfortable accommodation and inside bars and restaurants. All fantastic.

The location of the hotel is brilliant everything is in walking distance.

Found checkin took far too long especially after a long journey. The hotel was generally noisy we had a room that had an adjoining door we may have well been in the same room as the people next door! The hotel is very tired and could do with an update. We felt it was over priced for what it was and have had cheaper stays in York and nice hotels.
