Lovely area, good deco, clean, tidy and quiet (we were the only guests). large room, nicely furnished, fabric of the hotel is excellent. Dog allowed for an additional cost of £15. There is a large outdoor area to sit weather permitting and a nice river walk close by to exercise our dog..

Restaurant closed 7.30, bar was meant to shut at 9 but in fact shut earlier than that. We took our dog for a walk and returned at 0845 hoping for a night cap but everything was shut up. Limited breakfast menu, no cereal, fruit, yoghurt, pastries etc often available in many hotels we've stayed at. Breakfast only served for 1hour between 0830 and 0930, had to provide an exact time when we wanted to eat, Had to tick a box the night before stating what we wanted to eat. Told that if we wanted a cooked breakfast and yoghurt then we would have to pay extra. Food ok but the so called 'full cumbrian breakfast' was dissapointing. Other hotels we have stayed at did not charge for our dog. Also there was only 3 sachets of coffee in the room, by the time we discovered this there were no staff around to ask for more. Total cost of room for 1 night £140. Too expensive in my view. Not the best customer experience. We won't be back.

Very comfy room. Friendly staff. Great cocktails from the bar. Made the stay more special, having to use to complimentary ferry across to Canary Wharf. Great location for a show at O2. Lovely walk through a nature reserve behind the hotel to Canada Water. .

I forgot to mention the lovely view across the valley to the mountains that you are treated to from the balcony just outside the bedroom door.

Very roomy, clean, and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Would stay again.

The only downside is not having an elevator as it is hard carrying luggage upstairs if having health or mobility issues.

The damp ceiling above my bed with bits floating down into my face. This occurred when I had gone to bed very late . When I brought it up with staff the next day they implied that I was in the wrong for not requesting a room change… (at 2am when I was in my nightie!!!). Overall not very clean around the toilet in the bathroom.
