Friendly welcome from the owners and a willingness to resolve any queries quickly. The heating was already on before my arrival - very welcome on a cold May day. It was also good to have the necessary supplies for a drink and breakfast on arrival without any rush to the nearest supermarket (especially as it was raining!) I was also given a bag of bird food to feed the many wild birds on the magnificent lake only 200 yards away from their home. A good way to make some avian friends.

Twin room beds very very small only 2'6" wide. Mattress super soft. Our room was at the top of the building spiral stairs very difficult for an older person to manage. Not suitable should have been mentioned in the information. However this was a super clean place to stay excellent breakfast. Advertised with car park however this was very difficult to find and very small. Had to park in pay and display across the road.

The employees are not cooperative. There was a problem and they did not show any cooperation. I wasted a whole day’s time due to mishandling and their failure to provide any means of assistance. They just wasted time and procrastinated, knowing that the mistake was entirely theirs and all I want is my payment paper.

There is no form of service. The employees do not show any welcome or even a smile, and the responses were somewhat provocative. They do not even allow the person to explain any problem, knowing that the explanation was with complete respect. They silence him and try to waste time by talking to other employees.

John and Anne were excellent hosts. They kept the rooms clean and tidy. They were so friendly and helpful. The garden and lounges were lovely. My room was very comfortable.

First impressions count and when we arrived there was only 1 person on reception with a number of people waiting to check in. The rooms are in need of renovation especially the bathroom which is very old. Overpriced for what you get.
