I enjoyed our four night holiday in my dog friendly Cabin on the Lake side with my 1 year old puppy Lola. We both enjoyed our morning and early evening walks around the site. The weather was great which was a plus for a relaxing day sat out on our decking. Our day trip to Bowness on Windermere by bus was superb, the bus is available to catch at the entrance to the site and only cost £1.70 a great price. Timetable are available at the Reception and the Reception team and the on site gardener Liam where very helpful with answering all my queries and questions.

We liked everything the only downside was the shop on site was closed as they where recruiting a new member of the team. Although we took enough food to last us for longer then we needed and we both got welcome packs even Lola so that was a bonus.

Nothing it was excellent , only one criticism the long mirror in the room is in the corner behind the tv with the curtain right against it so useless to use to get ready and apply makeup , would be better on the wall on the right by the desk area as the window is facing it ideal for getting ready

Had to rush breakfast a little as earliest was 8am and had to be out by 8.20 so no cooked breakfast. TV a bit on the small side for size of room

Very good location at 1 minute walking from Haymarket station. Reception staff are friendly. The room was clean and quiet.

We booked a suite, we were called on the morning of our stay to say the suite wasn’t available and they had downgraded us but were giving us 50% off the cost of a deluxe king. Firstly this didn’t happen, we were refunded the difference between suite and king but no further 50% off. We were told as an apology the room would have the ‘vip extras’ - this amounted to a bath robe each, 3 cans of pop and a couple of packets of cheap crisps. The room itself was very small so being packaged as a deluxe king as we were told is quite the stretch. We were given complimentary breakfast, it was free but that was as good as it got and in the end we went to a cafe down the road as it was Luke warm and poor quality. The second floor where our room was stunk of cannabis and it took us going to tell reception (despite two cleaners being on the landing) for someone to try to get rid of the smell, they didn’t do a great job but thankfully it was time for check out. The above sounds like a lot of complaints but after booking a suite as part of a present for my wife to see a nearby concert to be downgraded on the morning of the stay and promised a lot to make up for it this hotel is really lacking sadly. Won’t comment on the pool etc as we didn’t use it.

No signal on the bedroom tv, room door very difficult to open/close due to damage, too many left over hair pins and hair in the room. Nighttime bar staff useless and nonexistent. New vending machine jammed, lost money, night porter said he would report but didn’t. Phone call prior to arrival saying room was damaged and we’d been downgraded but could have a complimentary meal. On arrival, booked room was now available but with issues and the meals were rescinded. We were told that cash was accepted at the bar until 11pm but shirty girl on Tuesday night cashed out at 10:30 leaving no service at the bar. She said she had to cash out early so she could leave by 11pm…she left the premises at 10:50pm and no one was serving. Most of the staff were acting like robots rather than people….not very welcoming.
