Well stocked flat with everything you need, including tea and coffee (ground and instant), granola, utensils for cooking, very nice toiletries. Beds were exceptionally comfortable. Messaging from the hosts was clear and helpful. Space is lovely and clean and well styled and was perfect for us for one night to relax in after we attended a gig. Location is great with nice bars, restaurants and cafes on your doorstep, or you have everything you need to cater for yourself in the flat. Will definitely book again if I need to be in the area.

There was talk of a diffuser in the exceptionally helpful welcome booklet but none was to be found - this would have been very welcome if we could have located it!

This is an extraordinary venue. Eclectic? Unique and abundant style. A significant amount of thought has gone into the interior. You simply can't throw it together. Superb (and large!) photos adorn the walls with very well curated posters and other objects d'art. We loved it. It's hard not to. The outside has a haunting and colourful appearance. If you wish to dip your toe into boutique hotels, start here and enjoy the difference between these and mainstream chains. Be open-minded.

Some might mention the moodier lighting that borders on the underlit. It works. Embrace it. We stayed in the Shepherds Hut. The wooden path is a slip hazard. Not the wisest of surfaces in an otherwise well thought out experience. Ditto the lack of any lighting in the hut. A battery-powered candle/light would have been sensible. The lack of any lighting to / from the hut and main residence and outside bathroom is a serious oversight. Discreet solar powered lights would have worked here. Not a deal breaker when booking but useful to know, especially as the nights are drawing in. Overall the experience was a superb one, the niggles were mitigated by the excellent dinner though we did book in advance but were directed to the bar then forgotten. Embarrassing. Would we go again? Absolutely. My sadness is that so many guests these days are fundamentally underdressed. Have we lost all sense of occasion when going away?

We liked that it was right in the centre of town, close to the train station and easy to walk about the area, both the city centre and the historic area.

The place was neat. Nice open plan. Craig was nice. Bathroom and toilets clean. Wifi available which is always great. I would stay here again.

1.Blinds in the living/dining area doesnt work properly/ broken. Please replace them with new ones as people were looking in from outside. 2. The carpet on the stairs coming down was really slippery. Dangerously so. Two of the guests slipped towards the bottom of the stairs into the kitchen. Where you place your feet is very small on the stairs so you find your feet at the edge and its very slippery material. Cant emphasize this enough. Please do something about it.

I guess the season is winding down so the bar was not busy so was not open, but they sell drinks in the lobby if you need. The dryer took a long time to dry our clothes
